The Alaskan Chugach Wilderness Lodge, LLC Launches 1st Season in 2007
Glen Allen, AK (January, 2007) - Deep in the rugged, unspoiled Chugach Mountains of Alaska, the first full service backcountry lodge in the area is now open for visitors. Accessible only by bush plane, the remote backcountry location provides the ultimate outdoor vacation for all ages.
The lodge is nestled in the mountains at 2,600 ft and is surrounded by peaks as high as 6,000 ft. The mountain location is ideally situated for all types of hiking, backpacking, wildlife viewing, photography, and fly-fishing for all skill levels.
The remote nature of the lodge provides access to unspoiled wilderness. It is common for guests to see moose, bears, Dall Sheep, and eagles with an occasional sighting of a wolf. The one thing you won't see here are crowds of people.

A great place for groups, the main lodge and five cozy free standing cabins have an incredible rustic charm. The cabins sleep two to four people and each have their own wood burning stove, located next to the cedar sauna and bathhouse. Meals are served family style in the log cabin lodge.

Guests fly into Anchorage Alaska and drive 4 hours Northeast along the beautiful Richardson Highway to Glenn Allen. Once in Glenn Allen, the guests will take the amazing 30 minute air taxi into the Chugach Wilderness Lodge.
2007 Summer Rates for June - September: $3,000 for 7 nights all inclusive of meals, lodging, and air taxi from Glenn Allen.
